Essential Question
Learning Target/Objective	I will be able to use exponent properties to simplify and evaluate expressions. I will be able to work with numbers in scientific notation.
Agenda	Warm-up Review for tomorrow’s test
Homework	Study for tomorrow’s test Get movie permission slip signed by Tuesday 5/8 Please take this survey if you were absent on Friday.
Announcements	Chapter 10 test Tuesday, May 8. Start studying by working on the chapter review on p. 455-457. MAP test Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 10. This week’s study session will be Thursday before school (7:40-8:20) instead of after school. That will be my last study session. This week’s Wednesday study session in the cafeteria will be the last one of the year as well.

About Mrs. Harp

Mrs. Harp is in her third year of teaching eighth grade math at Rocky Top. Before that, she taught seventh grade math in Wisconsin for three years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor's degree in middle childhood through early adolescence and math. She is currently working to earn her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver. Mrs. Harp enjoys baking, reading, crafting, being outside, and spending time with her husband and cat.
